It was rainy and wintery in Birmingham on Sunday so instead of the park we decided on some pub grub. Mum made short work of a grilled Salmon with new potatoes and green beans. I helped with cutting up into smaller pieces and loading forks and then once she was started there was no stopping, good work mum! Plus half an apple pie with ice cream for afters! Very pleased to see her using a straw to drink water too.  The sun came out for a split second and I was able to capture this lovely smile!

When I arrived mum seemed to be a bit sun burned and peeling on one side I guess from the recent hot weather, with a weepy red and sore eye, will bring some skin cream with me next week. Hopefully the eye will be better by then.

A scorcher of a day, despite areas of brown are where grass once was, a classical pianist plays music to passers by, ice lollies are in order, mum chose lemonade flavour, we had to eat them quickly before they melted into slush. We found some shade. Mum listened to Deva Premal’s ‘ Love is Space’ on my iPhone, which she absolutely *loves* and watched the children playing. The heat was quite tiring so we didn’t stay too long and returned to the home in time for tea and said ‘hello’ to the bunnies.
